Introduction

Welcome to Tripyigo.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms & Conditions”, or “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of the Tripyigo website, booking services, travel packages, customised itineraries, travel-related products and services, and any other services provided by Tripyigo through its website, representatives, telephone, email, WhatsApp, social media, payment links, or other customer communication channels.

By accessing our website, making an enquiry, requesting a quotation, making a payment, confirming a booking, or travelling with Tripyigo, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or book our services.

1. About Tripyigo

Tripyigo is a travel business providing travel planning, customised itineraries, holiday packages, accommodation arrangements, transportation arrangements, activities, experiences, and other travel-related services.

Tripyigo may arrange certain services through independent third-party service providers, including but not limited to:

  • Homestays and guesthouses
  • Local accommodation providers
  • Car rental and transportation providers
  • Drivers
  • Guides
  • Activity and adventure operators
  • Trek operators
  • Local experience providers
  • Airlines, railways, buses and other transportation providers
  • Permit and entry-ticket providers
  • Restaurants and other vendors
  • Insurance providers
  • Other destination-specific suppliers

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Tripyigo does not own, operate, manage, or control these independent third-party service providers.

2. Definitions

For these Terms:

“Tripyigo”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means Tripyigo and its authorised representatives, employees, agents and service partners.

“Customer”, “Traveller”, “Guest”, “you”, or “your” means the person making an enquiry, booking, payment, or using any Tripyigo service, as well as all travellers included in that booking.

“Booking” means a confirmed reservation or travel arrangement made through Tripyigo.

“Package” means a travel package offered by Tripyigo, including customised and fixed itineraries.

“Service Provider” means any third-party hotel, resort, homestay, driver, transporter, guide, activity operator, airline, railway, local supplier, permit authority, or other vendor involved in providing a travel service.

“Travel Documents” means quotations, invoices, booking confirmations, vouchers, itineraries, tickets, permits, receipts, payment confirmations, and other documents issued in connection with a booking.

3. Acceptance of These Terms

By using our website or services, you confirm that:

  1. You have read and understood these Terms.
  2. You agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
  3. The information provided by you is accurate and complete.
  4. You are authorised to make the booking and payments for all travellers included in the booking.
  5. You have informed all travellers in your group about these Terms.
  6. You accept the applicable booking, payment, cancellation and service-provider conditions applicable to your trip.

If a person makes a booking on behalf of other travellers, that person confirms that they have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of all travellers included in the booking.

4. Booking Enquiries and Quotations

Travel quotations provided by Tripyigo may include accommodation, transportation, meals, activities, permits, guide services, entrance fees and/or other services depending on the package.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • A quotation is not a confirmed booking.
  • Availability is subject to confirmation by the relevant service providers.
  • Prices may change before booking confirmation due to availability, seasonal pricing, supplier price changes, taxes, transportation costs, government fees or other external factors.
  • An itinerary or quotation may be revised before confirmation.
  • A booking becomes confirmed only after Tripyigo receives the required payment and confirms the booking in writing.

A quotation generated or communicated by Tripyigo may have a validity period. After expiry of that period, Tripyigo may revise the price or availability.

5. Booking Confirmation

A booking shall be considered confirmed only when:

  1. The required booking amount has been received by Tripyigo; and
  2. Tripyigo has accepted and confirmed the booking.

Payment alone does not necessarily guarantee confirmation of every requested service if the relevant service provider has not confirmed availability.

Tripyigo will provide appropriate booking confirmation, voucher, invoice, itinerary or other documentation after confirmation.

Customers should carefully review these documents immediately after receiving them and notify Tripyigo of any error or discrepancy.

6. Customised Trips

Tripyigo may create customised itineraries based on information provided by the customer, including:

  • Destination
  • Number of travellers
  • Travel dates
  • Number of rooms
  • Room configuration
  • Hotel category
  • Transportation requirements
  • Activities
  • Food preferences
  • Budget
  • Special requests
  • Other traveller requirements

A customised itinerary is based on the information available at the time of planning and is subject to availability and operational feasibility.

Any change requested by the customer after confirmation may result in additional charges, cancellation charges, rebooking charges, supplier charges or other expenses.

7. Prices and Taxes

The price of a trip will be communicated to the customer through the applicable quotation, invoice, booking confirmation or other official communication from Tripyigo.

Depending on the service and applicable law, prices may include or exclude taxes, government charges, permit fees, entry fees, service charges or other expenses.

Where applicable, GST and other statutory taxes will be charged in accordance with applicable law.

The applicable price and tax treatment will be reflected in the relevant quotation/invoice issued by Tripyigo.

Tripyigo reserves the right to correct pricing errors caused by technical, typographical, calculation or system errors before booking confirmation.

8. Payment Terms

Customers must make payments according to the payment schedule communicated by Tripyigo.

A typical booking may require:

  • An initial booking amount at the time of confirmation; and
  • The remaining balance by the payment deadline specified in the booking documents.

The exact payment schedule may vary depending on the destination, package, travel dates, suppliers and booking conditions.

If the customer fails to make the required payment within the specified deadline, Tripyigo may:

  • Cancel the booking;
  • Release the reserved services;
  • Apply applicable cancellation charges;
  • Forfeit all or part of the amount already paid where permitted by the applicable booking terms;
  • Recalculate the package price based on current availability; or
  • Take any other commercially reasonable action permitted under the booking agreement.

For bookings made close to the travel date, Tripyigo may require full payment at the time of booking.

9. Payment Methods

Tripyigo may accept payments through methods made available to the customer, including bank transfer, UPI, payment gateway, card, or other approved payment methods.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that payment is made to an official Tripyigo payment channel.

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for payments made to unauthorised persons, fraudulent accounts, personal accounts, fake payment links, or third parties claiming to represent Tripyigo.

Customers should verify payment details before transferring money.

10. Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellation of a booking by the customer is subject to:

  1. The cancellation terms stated in the booking confirmation, quotation, invoice or travel voucher;
  2. Cancellation policies of the relevant Service Providers; and
  3. Any applicable Tripyigo cancellation or administrative charges.

Because travel services are often reserved in advance and suppliers may impose non-refundable or time-sensitive charges, the amount refundable to a customer may be less than the amount originally paid.

The applicable cancellation amount will depend on factors including:

  • Date of cancellation;
  • Travel date;
  • Hotel cancellation policy;
  • Transportation cancellation policy;
  • Activity cancellation policy;
  • Permit/entry-ticket conditions;
  • Supplier charges;
  • Non-refundable bookings;
  • Special event or peak-season restrictions; and
  • Other costs already incurred by Tripyigo on behalf of the customer.

The cancellation policy applicable to a particular booking will be communicated to the customer and may supersede general cancellation information displayed on the website.

11. Cancellation Charges and Refunds

Where a refund is applicable, Tripyigo will calculate the refundable amount after deducting applicable:

  • Supplier cancellation charges;
  • Tripyigo cancellation/service charges;
  • Payment gateway or transaction charges, where applicable and legally permissible;
  • Non-refundable amounts;
  • Permit or ticket charges;
  • Rebooking charges;
  • Administrative expenses; and
  • Other charges specifically disclosed in the booking terms.

Refunds will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or another method reasonably determined by Tripyigo.

The processing time may depend on banks, payment gateways, suppliers and other third parties.

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for delays caused by banks, payment processors or third-party service providers.

12. No-Show

If a customer fails to arrive for a booked service at the required time or location without prior written notice, the booking may be treated as a No-Show.

Examples include:

  • Failure to arrive at the hotel;
  • Failure to report for transportation;
  • Failure to attend a booked activity;
  • Failure to arrive at a designated pickup point;
  • Failure to board a booked transportation service; or
  • Failure to use a booked service for any other reason.

No-show bookings may be non-refundable, depending on the applicable Service Provider's policy.

13. Late Arrival and Missed Services

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for services missed due to:

  • Customer's late arrival;
  • Missed flights, trains or buses;
  • Traffic delays attributable to the customer;
  • Failure to reach the pickup point;
  • Incorrect travel information provided by the customer;
  • Failure to follow instructions;
  • Personal delays; or
  • Other circumstances within the customer's control.

Additional transportation, accommodation, rebooking or other expenses arising from such circumstances shall generally be borne by the customer.

14. Changes Requested by the Customer

After a booking is confirmed, any request to change:

  • Travel dates;
  • Number of travellers;
  • Hotels;
  • Room types;
  • Transportation;
  • Activities;
  • Pickup/drop locations;
  • Meal plans;
  • Itinerary;
  • Duration; or
  • Any other confirmed service

shall be subject to availability and the applicable charges.

Tripyigo may charge additional costs resulting from such changes, including supplier charges, fare differences, cancellation charges, rebooking charges and administrative costs.

15. Changes or Modifications by Tripyigo

Tripyigo makes reasonable efforts to provide the itinerary and services confirmed to the customer.

However, circumstances may arise where a service must be modified, replaced, rescheduled or rearranged.

These may include:

  • Hotel availability issues;
  • Operational requirements;
  • Road closures;
  • Weather;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Permit restrictions;
  • Local regulations;
  • Transportation disruptions;
  • Safety considerations;
  • Supplier issues;
  • Natural events;
  • Destination conditions; or
  • Other circumstances beyond Tripyigo's reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, Tripyigo will provide a comparable or suitable alternative.

Where the alternative costs more, the customer may be required to pay the difference where applicable.

Where the alternative costs less, any adjustment or refund will be determined based on the applicable booking and supplier terms.

16. Hotels and Accommodation

Hotel and accommodation services are provided according to the booking confirmation.

Hotel photographs, descriptions, ratings, amenities and facilities displayed on our website or marketing materials may be provided for informational purposes and may originate from the accommodation provider or other sources.

Actual room layout, views, furnishings, facilities and services may vary.

Hotel star ratings may be based on classifications used by the relevant property, authority, platform or destination and should not be treated as a guarantee of a particular experience.

Hotels may impose their own rules regarding:

  • Check-in and check-out;
  • Identification;
  • Security deposits;
  • Extra guests;
  • Extra beds;
  • Meals;
  • Room upgrades;
  • Damages;
  • Smoking;
  • Pets;
  • Alcohol;
  • Age restrictions; and
  • Other property-specific matters.

Customers are required to comply with applicable accommodation rules.

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for losses arising from a customer's violation of hotel rules.

17. Transportation

Transportation may be provided by independent third-party drivers, transport companies, taxi operators, vehicle owners or other local providers.

Vehicle models, vehicle types and seating arrangements may be subject to availability and local operating conditions.

Travel time estimates are approximate and may be affected by:

  • Traffic;
  • Road conditions;
  • Weather;
  • Landslides;
  • Road closures;
  • Local restrictions;
  • Checkpoints;
  • Government regulations;
  • Vehicle breakdowns;
  • Driver limitations; or
  • Other unforeseen circumstances.

Tripyigo does not guarantee an exact travel time unless expressly stated.

18. Drivers and Local Service Providers

Drivers, guides and local suppliers are independent service providers unless expressly stated otherwise.

Tripyigo may coordinate and monitor services but cannot guarantee the actions, behaviour, personal opinions or conduct of every independent third-party provider.

Customers must treat drivers, guides, hotel staff, local communities and other service providers respectfully.

Tripyigo reserves the right to take appropriate action, including changing or terminating services, where a customer's behaviour creates a safety, legal or operational concern.

19. Activities, Adventure Travel and Physical Risk

Certain trips may include activities such as:

  • Trekking;
  • Hiking;
  • Camping;
  • River activities;
  • Water activities;
  • Adventure activities;
  • Mountain travel;
  • Wildlife experiences;
  • Remote-area travel;
  • Village visits; or
  • Other physically demanding or outdoor activities.

Such activities may involve inherent risks including injury, illness, accidents, falls, weather exposure, difficult terrain, altitude-related conditions, wildlife encounters, transportation risks and other hazards.

Customers participate in activities at their own responsibility and must follow all reasonable safety instructions provided by Tripyigo, local authorities, guides and activity operators.

Tripyigo may restrict or cancel participation in an activity where it reasonably believes that participation could create a safety risk.

20. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers, particularly for trips involving flights, adventure activities, remote destinations, trekking, international travel or significant prepaid expenses.

Unless expressly included in the customer's booking, travel insurance is not provided by Tripyigo.

Customers are responsible for selecting appropriate insurance coverage.

Insurance claims are governed by the terms and conditions of the relevant insurance provider. Tripyigo does not guarantee that an insurance claim will be approved.

21. Health, Fitness and Medical Conditions

Customers are responsible for determining whether they are medically and physically fit to participate in their chosen trip and activities.

Customers should disclose relevant requirements to Tripyigo where necessary to help with reasonable trip planning.

Tripyigo does not provide medical advice or medical services.

Customers should carry required medicines, prescriptions and relevant medical documentation where appropriate.

Tripyigo may recommend or require changes to an itinerary where safety concerns arise.

22. Permits, Government Restrictions and Local Regulations

Certain destinations may require permits, entry permissions, identification documents or other approvals.

Examples may include restricted areas, border areas, protected areas, national parks, trekking zones and certain regions of North-East India.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate documentation within the required timelines.

Tripyigo may assist with permit arrangements where such assistance is included in the booking.

However, approval of any permit or government permission is ultimately subject to the relevant authority.

Tripyigo cannot guarantee approval where the decision rests with a government or other competent authority.

23. Travel Documents and Customer Information

Customers must provide accurate information required for booking and travel.

This may include:

  • Full name;
  • Date of birth;
  • Government identification details;
  • Contact information;
  • Emergency contact details;
  • Travel dates;
  • Passenger information;
  • Room requirements;
  • Other information necessary for the booking.

Customers are responsible for checking the accuracy of information provided to Tripyigo.

If incorrect information results in additional charges, denied boarding, cancellation, permit rejection, booking errors or other losses, the customer may be responsible for the resulting costs.

24. Visas, Immigration and Entry Requirements

For international travel, customers are solely responsible for obtaining:

  • Valid passports;
  • Visas;
  • Immigration approvals;
  • Entry permits;
  • Vaccination or health documents where legally required;
  • Transit permissions; and
  • Other required travel documents.

Tripyigo may provide general assistance or information where available, but does not guarantee visa approval, immigration clearance or entry into any country or region.

Failure to obtain required documentation does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.

25. Force Majeure

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for delay, cancellation, modification, interruption or non-performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include, without limitation:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Floods;
  • Landslides;
  • Earthquakes;
  • Cyclones;
  • Severe weather;
  • Heavy snowfall;
  • Road closures;
  • Strikes;
  • Civil unrest;
  • Riots;
  • War;
  • Terrorism;
  • Government orders;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Border closures;
  • Epidemics or pandemics;
  • Political instability;
  • Transport disruptions;
  • Vehicle or infrastructure failures;
  • Hotel closure;
  • Supplier insolvency;
  • Power or network failures;
  • Acts of God;
  • Security threats; or
  • Any other event reasonably beyond Tripyigo's control.

In such circumstances, Tripyigo will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and seek alternatives where feasible.

Refunds, credits or reimbursements, where applicable, shall depend upon amounts actually recoverable from the relevant Service Providers and the applicable booking terms, subject to applicable law.

26. Weather and Destination Conditions

Travel destinations, particularly mountain, forest, remote and rural destinations, may experience unpredictable conditions.

Examples include:

  • Heavy rainfall;
  • Fog;
  • Snow;
  • Landslides;
  • Road damage;
  • Poor visibility;
  • Flooding;
  • Water-level changes;
  • Extreme temperatures;
  • Network interruptions;
  • Power interruptions; and
  • Temporary closure of attractions.

Tripyigo cannot guarantee access to every attraction shown in an itinerary where conditions make access unsafe or impossible.

Safety shall take priority over itinerary completion.

27. Remote and Rural Destinations

Some Tripyigo destinations may have limited infrastructure.

Customers should understand that certain destinations may have:

  • Limited mobile network;
  • Limited internet access;
  • Limited electricity;
  • Limited medical facilities;
  • Limited ATMs;
  • Limited fuel availability;
  • Basic accommodation;
  • Limited food options;
  • Rough roads; or
  • Limited emergency services.

Customers booking such destinations acknowledge and accept these conditions.

Tripyigo will provide reasonable information about known limitations where practical.

28. Itinerary Flexibility

Travel itineraries are planning documents and may not always operate exactly according to the scheduled time.

The order of sightseeing locations, activities or travel segments may be changed where reasonably necessary due to:

  • Weather;
  • Traffic;
  • Local conditions;
  • Attraction operating hours;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Safety;
  • Availability;
  • Road conditions;
  • Customer delays; or
  • Operational requirements.

Such changes shall not automatically constitute a failure to provide the trip.

29. Third-Party Service Providers

Tripyigo may act as a travel planner, arranger, facilitator, booking agent or intermediary for certain services.

Third-party suppliers are responsible for the direct provision of their respective services.

Where a Service Provider is responsible for a service, Tripyigo shall not be responsible for matters arising solely from that provider's independent acts, omissions, negligence, operational decisions, policies or failures, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where appropriate, Tripyigo will reasonably assist the customer in communicating with the relevant Service Provider.

30. Customer Property and Personal Belongings

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings, valuables, cash, electronics, passports, documents, luggage and other possessions during travel.

Tripyigo shall not be responsible for loss, theft, damage or misplacement of personal belongings except to the extent required under applicable law.

Customers should take reasonable precautions and use hotel safes or other secure storage facilities where available.

31. Customer Conduct

Customers must behave respectfully and lawfully throughout their trip.

Customers must not:

  • Engage in illegal activities;
  • Damage property;
  • Threaten or abuse staff or service providers;
  • Harass other travellers;
  • Engage in discriminatory or violent behaviour;
  • Misuse accommodation or vehicles;
  • Violate local laws;
  • Violate hotel or supplier policies;
  • Cause unreasonable disturbance; or
  • Create a safety risk for themselves or others.

Tripyigo may terminate or modify services for serious misconduct, subject to applicable law.

In such circumstances, additional costs may be borne by the customer and refunds may be limited by the applicable booking terms and supplier policies.

32. Alcohol, Drugs and Illegal Activities

Customers must comply with all applicable laws relating to alcohol, controlled substances, weapons and other prohibited activities.

Tripyigo does not accept responsibility for consequences arising from a customer's illegal conduct.

Where illegal or dangerous conduct creates a safety or operational concern, Tripyigo may take appropriate action, including contacting local authorities where required.

However, information may occasionally contain:

  • Typographical errors;
  • Pricing errors;
  • Outdated information;
  • Availability errors;
  • Technical errors; or
  • Information supplied by third parties that has subsequently changed.

Tripyigo reserves the right to correct errors and update website content.

Website content should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular service will be available at a particular price until confirmed in writing.

35. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Tripyigo website, including:

  • Logos;
  • Brand elements;
  • Text;
  • Graphics;

Customers may provide reviews, feedback, photographs, videos, testimonials or other content relating to their Tripyigo experience.

By submitting such content to Tripyigo, customers grant Tripyigo a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use, reproduce, display, publish and distribute such content for legitimate business, marketing and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law.

Customers confirm that they have the necessary rights to any content they submit.

If you do not want Tripyigo to use specific content for promotional purposes, please contact us in writing.

Marketing communications, where applicable, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

38. Privacy

Tripyigo may collect and process personal information required to provide travel services.

The collection, use, storage and processing of personal information is governed by Tripyigo's Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Customers should read the Privacy Policy before using Tripyigo services.

39. External Links

The Tripyigo website may contain links to websites operated by third parties.

Such links are provided for convenience or information.

Tripyigo does not control third-party websites and does not guarantee their availability, accuracy, security, products or services.

Customers access external websites at their own risk and should review the relevant third party's terms and privacy policies.

40. Fraudulent or Suspicious Transactions

Tripyigo reserves the right to delay, reject or cancel a transaction where it reasonably suspects:

  • Fraud;
  • Payment misuse;
  • Identity theft;
  • Unauthorised transactions;
  • False information;
  • Chargeback abuse;
  • Money laundering;
  • Other unlawful activity; or
  • Violation of these Terms.

Tripyigo may request additional information or verification before confirming a booking.

41. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

Tripyigo reserves the right to refuse or terminate a booking or service where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • Information provided is materially inaccurate;
  • Payment is fraudulent or cannot be verified;
  • The customer violates these Terms;
  • The customer's conduct creates a safety risk;
  • The customer violates local law;
  • The booking cannot reasonably be fulfilled;
  • A Service Provider refuses service;
  • Government restrictions prevent the service; or
  • Other legitimate operational or legal reasons arise.

Any refund in such circumstances shall be determined according to the applicable booking terms and applicable law.

42. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tripyigo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or unforeseeable losses arising from the use of the website or travel services.

This may include, where legally permissible:

  • Loss of personal time;
  • Loss of opportunity;
  • Loss of anticipated enjoyment;
  • Missed personal commitments;
  • Consequential travel expenses;
  • Loss of business or income; or
  • Other indirect losses.

Where Tripyigo is legally liable for a service-related claim, its liability shall, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount actually paid to Tripyigo for the affected service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

43. No Guarantee of Particular Travel Experience

Tripyigo will make reasonable efforts to deliver the services described in the confirmed itinerary.

However, Tripyigo does not guarantee:

  • Particular weather;

Travel inherently involves circumstances outside Tripyigo's control.

44. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Tripyigo, its partners, employees, representatives and authorised agents against reasonable losses, claims, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from:

  • The customer's breach of these Terms;
  • False or misleading information supplied by the customer;
  • Violation of applicable laws;
  • Damage caused by the customer;
  • Unlawful conduct;
  • Violation of Service Provider policies; or
  • Claims resulting from the customer's negligent or intentional acts.

Customers should provide:

  • Booking reference;
  • Details of the issue;

  • The resolution being requested.

Tripyigo will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve legitimate complaints.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a customer from exercising any statutory rights or remedies available under applicable Indian law.

  • Services;
  • Business operations;
  • Technology;
  • Applicable law;
  • Regulatory requirements;
  • Booking procedures; or
  • Other legitimate business requirements.

The updated version will be published on the website with the revised “Last Updated” date.

For bookings already confirmed before a change, the Terms applicable to that booking may continue to apply unless the parties agree otherwise or the change is required by law.

48. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permissible.

The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
